Happy New Year! Since most everyone made New Year’s Resolutions, let’s talk about success!
Do you embrace your successes? Do you feel uncomfortable when people talk about their income? Do you feel antsy when you are given praise? I have really struggled with this through my business, and my family’s and team’s success. In money cases, I am not good at being open to receiving. I think we can all agree that most of corporate America, an employee’s not paid what they’re worth. Their time and efforts are not matched with their paycheck. Here in network marketing, there is an opportunity to finally get matched rewards for hard work!
This subject has come up a lot within the last year. I see friends, family climbing the ranks, and soon replacing their MLM paychecks with what they were making at their J.O.B. (just over broke), I see them struggle to embrace what they have created, and many have never seen that kind of money before. As you grow your business, and grow personally, professionally, spiritually, and physically, you will get paid what you think you are worth. It is no secret that our society has issues with money, and people don’t know how to handle a significant increase in their income.
After reading T. Harv Eker’s book, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Game of Wealth, my eyes were opened. I have it on paperback, hardcover, and my Kindle. This book has really touched me and I carry the values written in it, everywhere I go. One of his values that harmonized with me the most was Belief. He explained that if none of us have belief, how will we ever accomplish anything? In order for your goals to come to fruition, you must have that belief deep down inside of you, yelling, “You got this!” During an incentive trip through Monat, a few years ago, I had a crucial conversation with our CEO’s wife, and what she said really changed how I thought about money. At the time, I was really struggling with the money we were bringing in. Here is how the conversation went…
Carolina: Toni, how long have you been working?
Me: Well, since I was fifteen.
Carolina: Have you worked hard your whole life?
Carolina: Did you make the money that you should have?
Me: No, absolutely not.
Carolina: Well, aren’t you worth it?
That is the big question. Absolutely, I’m worth it! Don’t you deserve success? I know you’re worth it too! The thing about it is is this business is about helping people. It is also, though, about showing people what you can do and showing them what is possible. So, you have to ask yourself what that means for you. I’ll tell you one thing for sure, if you don’t believe you are worthy, you will never be successful in anything! This is your story! Create a good one and claim the life (and income) you deserve!
