I’ve been trying to focus on positivity lately. You know, looking on the bright side of things.
I want to talk to you today about a couple things I do to make sure that I start the day off with the right intentions and change my attitude if it’s crap.
I was listening to Rita Davenport yesterday, who is always so inspiring to me, and she was talking about how leaders grow through their gratitude. Her words inspired me to start a new facebook group called The Positivity Warrior Accountability Group. The theme of this group is “your attitude and gratitude are a reflection of your success.”
I used to have a crappy attitude a lot when I was younger. I have evolved so much since then and it’s because I got into a practice of gratitude. And I still have so much more to learn!!
First thing I do as soon as my feet hit the floor, is thank God for another day here and another day to change lives.
Than I give thanks for my family. Not only my blood-related family but the family that I have chosen also. One thing I have learned in my life is, blood related or not, if they are not good for you and bring negativity into your life… you need to take them out. It will be hard to remain in a place of gratitude when people are constantly draining and trying to drag you down.
The next thing that I am grateful for is my fitness and my health. I always start my day with moving. It helps that I’m a morning person of course… but this helps to put me in the right mindset.
I am so so grateful for my finances. We’ve been able to help so many people, not only through our business but through our time and tithing also. One sure way for you to feel grateful is to see how you can help others. It’s an instant fill up!!
I am also grateful for my faith in the higher being and my faith in myself also. When you have self-belief and self-confidence you can get things done!! Faith is a huge part of my life but I had to grow into it. Since practicing my faith, it has afforded me so much more clarity about my life.
Lastly, I am grateful for the space that I live in. It is my zen den. Looking around and seeing the view or being outside helps me feel grounded. I am an outdoor person. I would pick being outside over being inside any day of the week if it’s nice outside you can bet I will be working out there.
There is so much natural beauty all around us… it’s amazing!!! So so many places for us to be grateful for. Just take a second today and look around.
I challenge you to start your gratitude practice today…. And extra credit if you do a facebook video and tag me in it!!!
Heres my Facebook live to get you started.
